Event: Institute on Peace and Justice Studies Program Development for African Universities This institute, intended for leaders and faculty of Catholic universities and institutes, as well as faculty from other faith-based or state universities in Africa, aims to enhance existing peace studies programs and further the development of new ones, mainstream peace studies across university curriculum, identify possible collaborations between universities for peace studies, and explore connections to peace and justice work by the wider Catholic community in Africa. The institute is being co-sponsored by Hekima College Institute of Peace Studies and International Relations, the Centre for Social Justice and Ethics as the Catholic University of East Africa, the Association of Catholic Universities and Higher Institutes of Africa and Madagascar, the Catholic Peacebuilding Network, the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame, the Berkely Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs at Georgetown University, Catholic Relief Services, the Institut für Theologie und Frieden, MISEREOR, and the Joan B.
